Retiree on the Road – Ireland 2023 – Apparently … The Dingle Peninsula and Town of Dingle are Magnificent :-)

The Dingle Peninsula is a beautiful, and historic part of Ireland. It was once described in the National Geographic magazine as the “most beautiful place on earth”. And it was the place that I was most looking forward to visiting in all of Ireland.

Unfortunately, I was under the weather and ended up spending the day stretched out on my bed in our hotel room in Tralee while the Love-goddess and the “travel companions” wandered down there from where we were staying. There was no accommodation available in Dingle for the two days we were in the area.

So, I have absolutely no idea what it was really like, and you’ll have to rely on the word of others and their pictures to paint the Dingle picture for you. Next time! 🙂

Dingle

Dingle has a population of just over 2000 who rely on tourism, fishing, and agriculture to make a living. And it looks very nice in the pictures everyone took. 🙂

The Dingle Peninsula

I wish I could tell you how wonderful the drive around the peninsula was, but I can’t. The Love-goddess says it was stunning. We will all have to take her word for it. I’m pretty sure these pictures don’t even remotely come close to doing it justice but have a look.

My next post about Galway will be WAY better than this one. 🙂
