Leslie Beck reminds us of the importance of having regular daily servings of fruits and vegetables. I am thinking this is especially true for we retired folks. She points out that “Doing so is tied to a slower rate of cognitive decline, healthy blood pressure and a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and certain types of cancer.” That all sounds good, so I’m up for eating all things healthy… Except for the dreaded Kale of course. 🙂

We all know that any capital gains made on the sale of one’s personal residence are tax free. But, this is not always true. If you own a large piece of property that exceeds 1.2 acres you may have to pay capital gains on the acreage sold that is excessive to the 1.2 acres.
