The Lunch Lady soups are Anthony Bourdain-approved – Globe and Mail, March 28, 2021
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/food-and-wine/restaurant-reviews/article-the-lunch-lady-soups-are-anthony-bourdain-approved/Alexandra Gill writes about Vancouver’s new “Lunch Lady” approved restaurant. If you are a fan of Anthony Bourdain you would know that the Lunch Lady was a woman in Saigon who operated a noodle soup stand. I share this because the tour guide we hired in Saigon to take us out to the Chuchi Tunnels refused to take us to the Lunch Lady stand, and instead, took us to some other noodle restaurant that Bill Clinton had visited… I’m pretty sure he was receiving a kickback. Hope to visit both of these eating venues one day.
How to Pack your Clothing Efficiently – Army Roll Method – MILE30 Adventure, October 26, 2016
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuD-ZZydsVgIt’s true that we’re not going anywhere for a while, but I was looking for a better way to pack in my new travel bag and I came across several videos related to the “Army/Ranger Roll”. This one included several different items of clothing so I decided to share it. I did roll up my clothing to pack the last time we traveled, but not as tightly and as efficiently as this method. The purpose of rolling is to compress the clothing as small and as tightly as you can, eliminating air pockets.
