Rob Carrick examines a report published by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) who conducted a study with 12 focus groups, in the United Staes and Canada, of middle class people retired for 15 or more years. The study revealed that most retirees in this cadre are being successful at managing their finances. Carrick also discusses a number of unexpected retirement expenses identified by the groups, e.g. dental fees.
